Description

Last September, I particpated in an astrophoto contest organized by Sightron Japan (celebrating the company's 60th anniversary) and Japan's largest astronomy magazine "Tenmon Guide" (天文ガイド). After a short while, I completely forgot about it until receiving an express letter informing me that my lunar image won a USD 450 award plus that it was selected by the jury for Sightron's astronomy calendar 2022.

The surprise was so big because it was my first attempt ever and I did submit only one image, namely this: https://www.astrobin.com/nregvv/

Title: "Moon, Aristarchus Plateau with Gas Planets"

Using the occasion,  I have drafted a preliminary edition of an electronic 24 pages brochure which summarizes my humble success and aweful failures in and around lunar imaging. Though still working on it, please feel free to download and feed back your thoughts, criticism and corrections only 😇🥴.

For this to put together I used last century's Adobe Pagemaker 6.5 shaken by nostalgic feelings and program crashes.
